Osola Reference
Original loudspeakers with an open ribbon section and an external crossover.

Reference
An original design. One shared idea.
Osola Reference combines a woofer developed specifically for a 60-litre sealed enclosure with a proprietary ribbon driver. An external crossover featuring Miflex capacitors and foil inductors completes the design.

The ribbon aimed towards you
Explore the rotation of both ribbons in stereo, or switch to the tilt view. The bass cabinets remain stationary.
The ribbon’s dipole radiation strongly reduces output to the sides. With suitable orientation, this helps reduce side-wall reflections and may make placement easier in smaller rooms. The ribbon also radiates backwards, so distance from the wall behind the speakers still matters.
Schematic illustration: front and rear radiation have opposite phase. Lobe shapes and movement ranges are illustrative, not measurements.

Crossover
The crossover, outside the cabinet
The crossover sits outside the loudspeaker cabinet, providing direct access to its components. The circuit uses Miflex capacitors and foil inductors to divide the signal between the bass and ribbon sections. The crossover frequency is approximately 1.5 kHz.
